1. Must love God and have faith.
2. Must be smart
3. Must be kind
4. Must be funny
5. Must come from a loving environment.
The girls are always evaluating pretty much every boy they meet (the curse of having boy-crazy girls). Rebecca will say well he meets three out of five requirements....I guess he just doesn't cut it....or he meets all the requirements plus bonus points for being really cute! You know all I can really ask for my girls is to have a wonderful future, but it is nice that they already come with a set of standards in place....let's hope they hold up through the teen years.

Sounds like a great list to me! What a wise mommy!
Ha! My word verifier word (or whatever they call it) is "gente"
Whoa you forgot, "Must be willing to take out the trash" and "Must be willing to watch the occasional Chick Flick"
Hee hee
Great list! (wish I had that list years ago...lol)
What a wonderful list. And great that you talk about it. It has to be hard raising teenage girls but with this kind of wonderful guidance (and a lot of prayer), they will be women of Godly character able to make good choices and parents that help them get there.
When my cousin was about 12 her aunt took her to a dude ranch for a Christian ministry along the lines of True Love Waits. Afterwards the 12 year old announced she was only going to date the man she's going to marry. She's now 18 and I have to say she's had about 3 boyfriends that I know of but each one has had to meet her uncle (aunt & uncle are her guardians) and pass his test before they're allowed to date.

So sweet to think about these types of talks...
When I was a teenager I wrote out a long list of qualities that were important to me in a husband. It really helped me to keep my standards high and marry a great guy.
