My Frugality is at a Loss

Sure it would be nice to have more money, but I am a frugal person by nature and just can't will myself to spend a lot for something I could buy at Wal-Mart for around $5.00. What am I talking about? Well in this case watches. I understand that there are watches that are worth the money because they do very specific thing(diving watches are a great example). But if you are just needing something to tell time then I can't imagine why anyone would need to spend tens of thousands of dollars on something that essentially just tells time.

Take a look at these Audemars Piguet and you will see what I mean. Nothing extraordinary, they do not allow you to travel through time, or give you daily spa treatments....what it will do is put off sending your child to college with the purchase of one of these watches. Some things are ridiculous beyond comprehension

Personally, I think MOST things are ridiculous beyone comprehension. Unless I'm selling it, in which case you must have one at any price. You must!

I couldn't agree more! I have a watch, it's a Roxy watch that I got on clearance for $9.99. I bought it 7 years ago and it still works. That could be because I've lost it several times for long stretches. I put it in the oddest places. Wierd.

I'm with you ALL THE WAY on this one!!! No way I'd spend the money on one of those watches, when I could BUY A CAR with the same amt of cash!!! Jeezers!! All of my watches have been Wal-mart or Target bought and I've loved them all!!!

Oh, my...and you say they DON'T allow you to travel through time? Then...are they made of metal deposited by a comet that only visits Earth every thousand years? No? Then I'd like to know about the price...

My favorite watch was a small cheapie I bought myself. When I received a much more expensive (and gaudy) one as I gift, I hardly wore it.
