The Quiet is Amazing

Do not misunderstand me I love my girls with every fiber of my being. I am their number one fan, and always on their side. But can I just tell you.....I always appreciate summer at my house...

With Rebecca gone for the month of June to her camp (we pick her up 4th of July weekend) life at my house is quiet. My phone isn't ringing like crazy, my computer isn't beeping at me with instant messages, and most importantly, the drama that follows Rebecca around like a puppy dog is nowhere to be seen.

Regan, now that she is home by herself with me just quietly goes along with all my plans, she has been reading, working on a math workbook, or quietly watching television in between our outtings. She and I have had a lot of quality time, and it is part of the reason I love summer at my house with my diverse girls. With Regan you will have quiet calm and pleasant conversation....but no constant activity.

Then when I have my three weeks of alone time with Rebecca while Regan is at her camps. I will have a flurry of activities, events, tons of friends, my phone ringing of the hook, and lots of think quick on your feet and get moving moments. With Rebecca you are never quiet or bored there simply isn't the time. She doesn't function that way.

When you get us all together we balance out each other perfectly....but for now I enjoy the peace and quiet that belongs to just Regan.
